On June 5th 2018, the world celebrated world environment day under the theme “Beat Plastic Pollution.” In collaboration with the International Union for the Conservation of Nature’s Commission on Education and Communication, BLI run a one-day fun-filled program at Hill Preparatory School, a special needs based school in Uganda, to educate children about the importance of conserving the environment, and also raise their voices on how best they believe plastic pollution can be put to a stop. The day ended with a picture competition that got featured on the IUCN’s website.
